Estores GmbH relies on brickfox, pixi* and Oxid eSales

With the aim of being able to map all backend processes of Estores' niche online shops in one system, Estores decided to use the brickfox e-commerce cloud in combination with the mail order software pixi*. In addition, product data maintenance should be simplified and shipping and logistics processes should be handled smoothly.

The company Estores has previously managed its four online shops armeeshop24.de, technikwear.de, securitywelt.de and budo-expert.de separately, which means an enormous amount of time, especially with regard to creating and maintaining products. Due to the low level of automation, many manual processes were necessary, which led to delays in the entire process chain. In order to realize central management of all four shops and thus a high level of automation of the standard processes, the brickfox E-Commerce Cloud and the pixi* mail order software were implemented.

The e-commerce middleware brickfox forms the central basis for the entire online trading model and is responsible for data transfer with the connected partner systems. The products that are created and maintained in brickfox are then distributed to the respective industry shops using a filter mechanism. These are based on the community edition of Oxid eSales. When an order is placed, the data is transferred from the shop to brickfox, whereupon brickfox passes the updated inventory figures on to pixi*. All customer, article and order information is processed in real time in the pixi* backend and automatically made available to all business areas. Using intelligent picking processes, pixi* was able to relieve employees and increase shipping speed. It was also important for Estores to have a simple and error-free integration of different payment methods for all online shops. This was achieved through the pixi* PayPal integration and the pixi* Klarna app.
