Erkmann GmbH is an owner-managed lifestyle company from Münsterland that wants to offer its customers an extended shopping experience at unusual times on online marketplaces and in the shop, in addition to the usual opening hours in its own stores and franchise companies.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=“1/1″][vc_raw_html]JTNDcCUzRSUzQyUyRnAlM0U=[/vc_raw_html][vc_column_text]With well over 100.000 items created and the development of the online marketplaces Amazon and eBay, both product data maintenance and channel management became increasingly extensive. Due to the increasing complexity of the entire process chain, efficient warehouse management and automated logistics processing became important and indispensable for the traditional company.

With the introduction of the e-commerce middleware brickfox and the mail order software pixi*, the previous isolated solutions were completely replaced and time-consuming manual processes eliminated. brickfox as the central middleware takes over product data management and offers the retailer the opportunity to manage their e-commerce sales channels (online shop and the Amazon and eBay marketplaces) centrally and automatically.

Brickfox's main task was to take over the existing Amazon account. The key point here was the implementation of the multi-ASIN assignment. This means that different ASINs in Amazon have the same article number in the retailer's warehouse, which can quickly lead to incorrect inventory figures when manually matching data. Brickfox was able to resolve this problem and achieve flawless data matching.

Via an interface to the supplier portal nmedia, the supplier's product master data is imported directly into brickfox, where it is supplemented and modified. Brickfox passes the product data on to the mail order software pixi* and, conversely, receives status and stocks from pixi*. Brickfox also automates communication with the sales channels - product data is delivered, while orders and returns are picked up from the channels and passed on to pixi*. In pixi*, customer, article and order information is processed in real time and made available to the various business areas. The efficient picking process in pixi* has enabled the shipping speed to be increased significantly.

"Our challenge in this project was not only to take over the high-performance Amazon account and implement the multi-ASIN assignment, but also to connect a new shop system. Within a very short time, we connected the Powergap shop system to brickfox via an API. This means that all relevant data is transferred automatically and error-free. Powergap impresses with its wide range of functions, very good performance and very competent support," says Christian Diener, project manager at brickfox GmbH.

Markus Heyer, E-Commerce Manager at Erkmann GmbH, is pleased with the new e-commerce construct: "By centralizing the e-commerce processes and largely automating them, manual processes have been reduced and superfluous processes have been eliminated. With brickfox, we can easily and simply control our sales channels and connect others, which corresponds to our internationalization plans. With pixi*, our shipping processes have been made much more effective. In addition, pixi* makes our manual work in the warehouse much easier by creating an order that we would never have been able to achieve without the system."[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
